This was a quick stop in order to attend a funeral. How I wish it was a chance to spend a few days relaxing in this special little spot in the woods!

First of all there is not a single row of cookie cutter motel rooms which look depressingly alike. Little groupings of pretty cottage like building, maybe three rooms here, four over there, gives you a nice sense of privacy. Our "room" was up a little hill and in the back. It was spotless, homey and beachy all at once. No indoor/outdoor carpeting here. Nice "wood" flooring, soothing decor and comfortable beds greeted us, along with an indefinable scent of cleanliness!

Better yet, the equally charming office presents breakfast each morning. Not an ordinary breakfast. There were two crockpots, one with a red potato hash browns, the other with real scrambled eggs. A selection of breads for toasting. Coconut milk, and almond mild. A fresh tasting mixed berry juice. Coffee and decaf, a selection of teas, all just... nice.

I must add that the staff was cheerful and helpful. I would like to thank Melissa for her company at breakfast and her extra effort to accommodate our needs on this brief stay.

POSITIVE:

This motel is more than the usual Cape experience. It is welcoming, charming, and just a sweet place to rest your weary head. Listen to the many birds (in March!). Instantly relax when you enter your room of soothing decor, shining wood floors, and comfortable beds. Breakfast is served in the office area, with equally soothing decor. No dry donuts and instant coffee here! Warm food, a selection of breads, a selection of MILKS(!), and the luscious muffin of the day, strawberry rhubarb should please any traveler. Most of all I appreciated the staff. We had interactions with three people who were all graciously helpful. I especially want to thank the morning desk person Melissa. For you delightful conversation and going out of your way to accommodate our needs, we are very grateful. Heather and Eileen

NEGATIVE:

That our stay could not be longer!

POSITIVE:

Exceptional staff and excellent service! Recently renovated rooms, very clean! Bug-free! FREE parking right outside your door. There is a laundry facility in the office building. Nice big TV with plenty of channels. Hot water is hot and cold water is super cold (just make sure to run the water for a few minutes before showering to get to the hot.) It's quiet at night and you have plenty of privacy. I liked the curtains as they blocked out the late if you wanted to sleep in. It's located just an hour shy of Boston and minutes from beaches, historic sites, boardwalk, movie theatres, restaurants, lighthouses, shopping, arts and antiques, Cape Cod potato chip factory (get a free tour), etc. The nearest gas station is about 2 mins away.

We were looking for a quick getaway spot and booked here. Excellent experience from start to finish. Easy booking, warm reception, nice clean room with the features you would expect, close to everything we wanted, easy checkout. It was a pleasure. We will likely be back here again.

The Sandwich Inn, was a great and quaint place to stay for our 2 days in Cape Cod. The Suite we had was clean and adorably set-up. We had a cable issue and the gentleman who worked with the Inn was gracious and super accommodating. We would love to come back in the future.
