POSITIVE:
The Air Conditioning worked really well! Room was comfortable and clean and had a fridge. A great night's sleep. The grounds were lovely and there was a generally nice laid back holiday atmosphere about. There was access to vending machines and laundry too. There was a sign in the room saying that the rooms aren't sound proofed so please keep noise down especially after 10pm etc but I have to say we heard no noise from outside or next door even though the hotel seemed busy. Location was great. There is a well know ice-cream place just across the road. It's a very short drive to downtown Sandwich with lovely cafes and restaurants and a large CVS and other conveniences. It's just a bit further to the harbour with two seafood restaurants (one casual / counter service, one table service). We used this hotel as a base for 2 days to travel around the Cape and it was great for that. (Don't miss the Sandwich boardwalk while you're there!) While it wasn't cheap, compared to other places available on the Cape in August it was good value.
NEGATIVE:
The breakfast was only ok (not bad, but not very good) and the tables weren't being cleared off promptly after guests finished as there appeared to be only one staff member working which is probably a bit unfair on the staff. We didn't bother with breakfast the second day - but we were happy to be able to grab a coffee from the breakfast area to keep us going before packing up and going out for breakfast. This is just an observation but it wouldn't stop me from staying again.
