What all roadside Cape motels should aspire to be. Beautifully redone rooms, modernist country chic may be the best way to describe the design... white beadboard walls, cotton duvets instead of the dreaded polyester bedspreads, wood floors, no dubious carpeting. Simple but beautifully presented continental plus breakfast included in a cute breakfast space. Testimony for what a great value this place is is the fact that it was nearly full on a 2 degree dead of January Saturday night. My only critique would be of the heavy scent of either air freshener (for which there was no need - everything was immaculately clean) or some scented cleaning products which triggered my allergies somewhat. Perhaps a little more restraint with this is indicated. Staff genuinely friendly and efficient. It is what it is, a small mid-century Cape motel with low ceilings (NBA players would struggle) but boy have the owners made it the very best it can be, a really comfortable place. If the snowbanks were a little lower, it is within walking distance to one pub/restaurant down the road, the British Beer Company, would be great for the summer when traffic is heavy and you just want to be able to amble out somewhere for dinner or drinks. Cheers.
