We stayed last year at this time. It was better but not great. Thought wed try again. Very bad experience. We stayed in room no 1. It was nice. Clean. Wish it had a few comfy chairs to sit in. But we had a neighbor who smoked many many times right outside our door. We had to walk by him. And the parking spaces are set up so he pulled his enormous truck right up to the steps and we could not get down the steps and by it with our bags.
Your staff is wonderful. The atmosphere inside and outside is quite beautiful. But the fact that you cater to the workers in the area ruins the experience for us as leisure travelers.
I understand theyre how you can stay open year round financially. I just wish there was a way you could keep a certain area of rooms for travelers. Last year we stayed in the king suite out back and I couldnt understand why the person upstairs came in at weird hours and was up in the night and noisy and sounded like he was walking with boots on. Now I get it.
Sorry this is so long winded but I would want to know this if I were the owners.
We come back every year and would love to stay next year. And would love to recommend to others. Maybe Ill check with you again sometime to see if the situation there changes.
